Monarch Hand Baggage Allowance

Hand baggage dimensions must not exceed 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Baggage allowances may be subject to change at any time, so please double check these details here prior to travel.

 

Monarch Hold Baggage Allowance

Each adult and child has a hold baggage allowance of 20kg.

If you wish to pool your bag allowance within your travelling party you may do so as long as no bag weighs more than 32kg.

Monarch Excess Baggage Allowance

You can pre-book excess baggage online before you fly at the discounted rate of  £7.50 / €9.00 (EUR) per extra kg. Please note: You can only pre-book excess baggage in bundles of 3kg up to a maximum of 12 extra kgs. Excess baggage booked via our call centre or at the aiport will incur a charge of  £9.00 / €11.00 (EUR) per kg.

 

Monarch Lost Baggage Information

- If your bags are lost you should have completed a Property Irregularity Report Form at the airport. Monarch Airlines ground handling agents will search for your luggage for 7 days.

- The majority of luggage is located within this time and will be delivered to the address you have specified on your report, by a local courier. You will need to contact the handling agent for updated information; details of the phone number will be on your copy of Property Irregularity Report.

- Monarch Airlines will conduct a search for your luggage for a total period of 21 days.

- It is advised that you contact your travel insurers as soon as possible to register your claim.

 

Monarch Banned and Restricted Items

Monarch Liquid Restrictions

Liquids may be carried in your hand baggage but only in small amounts not exceeding 100 ml per article. You must place these in a transparent and sealable plastic bag with a volume of no more than 1 litre. The bag must be closed and the articles must fit inside it easily. One transparent plastic bag may be taken per person.
